"The things we’re anxious to see restored are craftsmanship, human energy, a concern with the quality of whatever is being done, and the sort of long-range thinking that involves people in pride-creating endeavors."

Field Trips

We encourage schools to come and tour the Apprenticeshop throughout the year. Field trips to the Shop are a great way to spark interest in craft and maritime history, and often lead to further participation in our other youth programs.

If you are interested in setting up a field trip, please call us at 207-594-1800 or e-mail us at info@atlanticchallenge.com.

Each year, we work with teachers, councilors, administrators and parents to fill the needs of students who would not otherwise learn hands-on skills. If you are interested in enrolling a student in one of our programs, or would like to contact us about beginning your own, we are always interested to hear ideas. We frequently work with group leaders to design courses suited to their students.
