Introduction to Woodworking for Women. A one week workshop for adults, teaching the basics of woodworking and the proper use of hand tools and power tools in an encouraging environment. No previous experience required. All tools and materials provided. Class size limited to eight. |

Fall Afterschool and High School Sailing Programs begin. An opportunity for mid-coast youth to extend their sailing season beyond the summer. The high school team includes students from all five area high schools and competes with teams throughout the Northeast U.S. Afterschool sailors build on summer lessons and enjoy a less crowded harbor. Both programs sail twice a week for five weeks. |

Short Ships Rowing Race & Rendezvous. Morning rowing race open to recreational and racing rowers and paddlers. Full day gathering for small boat sailing and rowing craft. Race registration begins 7:15 a.m. Race start:9:30 a.m. Race awards & refreshments: 11:30 a.m. Rendezvous continues until sunset. Grills available at 4:00 p.m. for BYO barbecue. Campfire on the waterfront at sunset. |
